Another year of marriage, and another anniversary spent at the 3-D archery range. It’s starting to be a tradition. Since my wife took up archery, we really enjoy heading over to Nelson Ledges’ 3-D shoot. It’s a fun way for us to spend time together, and get some practice in with the PSE’s. How many guys get to spend the day flinging arrows through the woods and call it a date?

Competitive by nature, we kept score. Although, I think Candice using her range finder the whole time qualifies as cheating.
While on the course we got to talk to some Drury fans from Chardon, OH who happened to recognized me. A lot of deer and different targets like alligators got hammered. I ended the day with a 287 and the wife shot 255.

We came home with all our arrows -a bonus to a great day. We found out that the kids had done some practicing as well, with Candice’s dad. I’m sure soon enough we’ll be pairing off in to teams. Jenna & Jaxon just need to get a little older and then the competition will really heat up.
Hopefully we’ll get to reap the benefits of our hard work and practice this fall. There are a few bucks I’ve been watching… here’s a few pics that my Reconyx has captured. -Tim Woods
